ALIX EDWARDS is really an artist that is multi-platform. Her work explores themes of marginalisation, domestic physical violence, motherhood and resilience, and provides a vocals mainly to females and kids who culture has unsuccessful or ignored. She makes use of photography, artwork, installation, text and spoken term to displace life, power and feeling to data, create new narratives and tell stories about ladies that could otherwise stay untold.Her work was exhibited in England and Wales including 198 Gallery, Sutton home, g39, Cardiff Made, Truman Brewery, rose bridess org Angus Hughes, The petrol Club, Oxford home, The Laundry, The Gate, The Russian Club, The Overlay venture and published in Lucent Dreaming, The Loss venture, Blink-Ink, the write time. Her writing happens to be posted in a variety of anthologies like the write time, Roath Writer’s anthology, Diaspora, Beyond terms, write spark, Penny Thoughts and alchemy magazine. An associate of Cardiff Writer’s Circle she had been runner up when it comes to story that is short 2017 and poetry prize 2019, flash fiction champion 2017 and 2018, and brief tale champion 2018.Alix won a scholarship to Oxford University to examine English Literature, comes with an MA in innovative Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London and graduated in MA photography from Central Saint Martin’s in 2016. Recent work includes giant canvas Fallen which concerns the etymology regarding the this term in terms of ladies, War Bride, exhibited right here: a rather individual group of found photographs and text about being a new girl growing up in Fascist Italy designed for 36 Exposures, Bath Fringe Festival and Clean Sheets and a poetry collection about being a ‘fallen woman.’ She founded and hosts business of Words Open Mic and Guest activities in Cardiff, Wales where she lives together with her two daughters and operates community art jobs for females including for SHOUT! in Cardiff ladies’ Centre.
